Introduction

Thanks for helping test Xmarks for Chrome! Please read this carefully before installing. Please remember that both Xmarks for Chrome and the extensions system for Chrome are beta systems. There will be bugs and issues. If you do run into an issue, please let us know so we can fix it! (See the support page.)

If you're already using Xmarks, your bookmarks are already backed up and saved on our servers. That means that even if Xmarks for Chrome somehow messes up your bookmarks, you can recover a previous version! You can read more about backup and restore here. Before installing we also recommend backing up your Chrome bookmarks.

Installation notes

  • To install Xmarks for Chrome, you'll need to be running a version of Google Chrome that supports extensions (version 4.0 or greater):
    • Windows users can use the stable version of Chrome: download here
    • Linux users must use the beta version of Chrome: download here
    • Mac users must use the developer version of Chrome: download here
  • Once running the development version of Chrome you can install Xmarks for Chrome by visiting our installation page.
