Firefox 3

If you get this error in Firefox 3, it may mean that you have disabled third-party cookies. Unfortunately, Firefox 3's current implementation of cookie security considers Foxmarks' use of cookies as third-party. You can fix this problem in one of two ways:

  1. Enable third-party cookies. Go to Tools -> Options (on the Mac, Firefox -> Preferences) and select Privacy. Check Enable third-party cookies.
  2. Alternatively, add an exception for Foxmarks. Go to Tools -> Options (on the Mac, Firefox -> Preferences) and select Privacy. Click Exceptions... and enter foxmarks.com into the website address box. Click Allow and Close.

Firefox 2

Foxmarks 2 requires that cookies be enabled for login.foxmarks.com and sync.foxmarks.com in order to synchronize. Cookies must also be enabled for www.foxmarks.com and my.foxmarks.com if you want to use our website features. This error means that Foxmarks believes that you have disabled cookies and, therefore, it is unable to log in to our servers to access your account.

To enable cookies in Firefox 2, go to the Firefox Options dialog (Tools -> Options on Windows, Firefox -> Preferences on MacOSX) and click Privacy. Then, either enable "Accept cookies from sites" or, if you prefer, add the above domains (login.foxmarks.com, sync.foxmarks.com, www.foxmarks.com, my.foxmarks.com) to the list of exceptions by clicking on the "Exceptions..." button.
